This hotel reflects authentic historic charm throughout. As you enter, the warm greeting of the staff and professional attention is reassuring to the weary traveler. The comfortable decor, artwork, statuary...all greet the eye. An elevator, yippee 😄 but also beautiful wide staircases ( hand scrubbed by the indomitable cleaners) lead upwards. Gorgeous tapestry and vintage couches and chairs greet the eye on the first landing leading out to the massive patio with seating everywhere for all to enjoy the incredible mountain views. The natural pool, lovely fountain and sauna, flowers in vases at each table and loungers for sunbathing. It's heavenly! Also a coffee & fruited water is an offering for free refreshment inside. Most rooms have balcony seating for total relaxation, with stunning mountain views in every direction as the light changes and the clouds drifting through... church bells ring in the background. Location, beauty, charm, breakfast, staff, cleanliness all .... it's the best ❤️.

Exceptionally styled hotel in the historic Ludwig street in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The decor is like being in a stately palace and is full of interesting quirky nooks. The view is of the Zugspitz, so can not beat it really! The staff upon arrival were so welcoming. We were on a motorbike and it was hot, the desk staff made us sit down before we checked in and brought us hot facecloth towels and a glass of ice cold bubbles! Get chat and banter continued with the reception chap and we felt very very welcome. Rooms are old style and do not have air-conditioning but we didn't expect ultra modern in such a historic building. Hotel has a natural pool outside and sauna. Breakfast was excellent too. Everything was fresh and chef service to cook omelette to order. Bus into the Garmisch part of town is right outside and free with tourist tax card. Highly recommend you go stay or at least visit if in the area.

This was a wonderful hotel in Garmisch Partenkirchen. Closer to Partenkirchen, just walk outside and you are there! We were there when there was a little street fest. We enjoyed it immensely. It apparently was remodeled a few year ago so has great new bathrooms. Our room had a balcony and the hotel has a beautiful garden. We have stayed in many locations within the area, and really, will most likely go back to this one. There was some parking at the back but the parking garage was very close with lots of parking and fairly decent sized spaces for American Cars! But also only 5€ a night.

A beautiful, elegant hotel in the heart of old historic Partenkirchen. Serene and quiet, with the most amazing view of the Zugspitze. What however impressed us the most was the staff. Extremely friendly and forthcoming, they assured that our stay was as relaxing as possible and indeed memorable. With a keen eye for detail they attended to our every need. We will surely go back to this establishment, hoping to see the same members of staff again.

Location, views, friendly staff, nice restaurant and big room and big bathrooms with bathtubs. The hotel has an old world charm ... we loved it. Our welcome drink was a prosecco.. such a nice surprise :) Food at the hotel is nice. It has a very classy restaurant. The hotel staff deserves a 5 star for their warmth and service. The hotel was very prompt in answering all our questions, before arrival, on email / booking.com
